CVMA recognizes that aggressiveness in all dogs, and the subsequent dangers to the public are largely a product of inappropriate methods of genetic selection, rearing and training. All dogs which are selectively bred, reared or trained for aggressiveness, can pose a significant danger. (February 27, 2019 Board) 1 1 Approved by the Board of Directors to remain as the current position statement in response to a potential repeal of the BSL in DOLA and ARA.
